Team Be Transformed

Today we are going to look at Israel getting to the threshold of the promised land for the first time.  When they got there God told Moses to send in 12 spies.  1 head or leader from each tribe. The spies go out and come back and 10 of the 12 come back with the wrong word and influence the whole congregation to believe it’s not possible to go into the promised land which caused the people with the promise get disqualified.  But here is what is interesting.  The people got disqualified because of a bad word brought by 10 of the spies.  It was God’s idea to send the spies.  But here is the thing.  God’s intention was not for those 10 spies to see what they saw.  Caleb and Joshua met God out there and saw what God intended.  

 

The spy mission was to help prepare the people to embark on this new season. So we are going to look at what went down. And we are going to gain some fabulous insights. And these insights are going to help prepare us for this next season that we are about to embark on.

 

One of the biggest obstacles you can face in making the shift from missions to business is your belief system.  There are some things that you can learn in missions that are antagonistic towards making money and having and operating a business.  In this episode I hope to lower the strength curve for making this transition as well as give you some insight and greater understanding into why businesses exist.

There is a pathway to the fulfillment of your vision.  The pathway is the development process to equip you to succeed.  Saul did not have much of a development process before he became king and he failed.  David did however have a pathway and because of that, he had very different results.

In this episode we take a look at the differences in leadership approaches between King Saul and his son Jonathan.  Not only do they have different approaches but they get very different results.  It’s been said, “There are only two types of leaders: Effective and Ineffective.” We will see that this statement is true.  

In 1 Samuel 8 the elders of Israel ask Samuel to put a king over them, so they can be like all the other nations.  We will take a look at this and other leadership decisions and consider the motivation and the ramifications of these actions and see what we can learn.

We are taking a look at two more sections of “As A Man Thinketh” by James Allen.  “All that a man achieves and all that he fails to achieve is the direct result of his own thoughts.”  Our lives become what WE THINK they should be. Change the way you think, Change your life.

Team Be Transformed

Your will is your ability to choose a direction and initiate action; to concentrate and focus your attention on your chosen aim.  However, the biggest enemy to being decisive and choosing a direction, is indecision.  And the biggest enemy to initiating action, is making excuses.  And when you are spinning in indecision and keeping busy by making excuses you create a black hole that sucks up all your focus and attention.  This is when you get to the end of a week and wonder where it went.  You were ready to make this week count but somehow it slipped through your fingers.

Our will is like a muscle and we must develop it. That means if you find yourself off course, the correct action is to course correct, NOT QUIT.
